I know that. I know. It's just... I'm trying with Te-s. Te-k-s. Not very well, I admit. But it's... c-compli-ated.

I figured as much. But that doesn't change what you need to do and what you need to be. Which is proactive. Which is stepping forward to try and reach out to them. They are stubborn. They're... they are the protectors of our family, doing their best to make sure we'll never want like we used to, that we can be what we want and you...

Well, in the case of Omega, consider this. Omega has been keeping us together for years, like a father. And you've come in and swooped Sigma off his feet. This new move is fast. It's a whirlwind romance and to some degree that scares him I think. No, maybe not scares. Concerns. Because it was you that helped to open me up to the world as well. You've, sort of, stolen away two people he was supposed to protect, and he doesn't know how to protect them if you are the one to hurt them. Words alone will never convince him that you wouldn't let Sigma be hurt.

You have to interact with him, York. And you know it. And while I hate to ask it of you, I'm going to anyway. For Sigma's sake.

I understand that, I c-can only imagine how mu-sh he's done for you g-guys. ...But on my side he's gg-given me two pani- atta-ck-cks since I wo-e up. Bad ones. I -ould stand the unfriendliness, I know I -an be an asshole sometimes and he's prote-tive. But I will not let him ma-e it three and you'll for-ive me if I'm paranoid that-t he will.

If you want me t-to physi-ally show him how I'm t-trying tt-o eep Si-ma safe, I will. And if I'm ever the one t-t hurt him, I'll stand in front of Ome-a and let him shoot me or whatever myself.

I'm well aware of what he did and how unfair that was, York. And I swear to you that I'm going to do my best to keep that from happening again. I wouldn't lie to you about that. And I know it has to be work from everyone, not just from you. What I'm saying is that if I can get him to reach out, if I can get him to agree to try, I need you to be there, ready to take the hand he offers. Sigma NEEDS that. Because it can't be you against his older siblings who he adores.

Because, frankly, no one wins if it comes down to that. No one.

I promise I'll do every last thing I can to foster this peace. Broker it even. But both sides have to make concessions. And there has to be a talk. A face to face talk in a place you'll be comfortable, where the group of us can try and get this to work. For your sake. For Sigma's sake. And for Omega's sake.

...I'll try. If we -an even just g-get on better terms, it'll be easier for everyone and I c-can stop avoiding him at base, whi-sh would be nice. I don't enjoy things being li-e this, I don't want this t-to be something always hanging over us and, G-God forbid, I don't ever want Si-g-gma to feel li-e he has to -oose between the two of us. So if he's willing to try and someone's there to k-keep things -alm, I'll try.

That's one of the reasons I didn't c-cut him off after the first time, he's meant to be a t-teammate. But I won't -o on missions with him yet. Not until I know I -an trust him.

There was an... incident. Between us. A while ago.

It's... not something I tal-k-k about easily.

...Fine. But I'll probably need a breather afterwards.

We have this thing called the CMC. It stands for Centralized Mission C-Control and it basi-ally lets us know who's ta-ing what jobs with who so we don't c-clash. Te-k-s and I are the reason that system is so stri-c-ct.

Almost two years ag-go, I took-k a job to break-k into... into Enc-cost. It shouldn't have been all that hard: in, g-get what I needed, out. But... I don't know e-sa-tly what happened, but my theory is that my employer was too loud on what he was planning. Te-k-s was employed by En-c-cost around the same t-time since they were worried something li-e this was g-going t-to happen and she heard they were g-going to be bro-en into, she let them know and helped set the trap whi-sh, when I tried to g-get into their c-computer systems, literally blew up in my face.

[A long pause, punctuated by deep, slightly shaky breaths]

I... I lost my eye be-ause of your sister, Delta. And the funny thing is that I don't really blame her. She was only d-doing what she'd been paid t-to do, just li-e I was. I c-can't hold that ag-gainst her, but st-til some part of me does and I've been trying to g-get past that but... so far I haven't been able to.
